Downtown Galveston Livable Communities Initiative

Phase 1 Completion Ceremony

Ceremonies marking the completion of Phase I of the Livable Communities Initiative will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 27, 2003 at Saengerfest Park. Congressman Nick Lampson will be the principal speaker, and will be introduced by Mayor Roger Quiroga.

Event Cash Support Contribution:

    Wayne Cook, Island Transit – up to $500 cash contribution
    Bill Ross, GPM, Inc. – up to $750 cash contribution

Event Itinerary:

    9:50 a.m.
      VIP’s board trolley at Hendley Park – 21^st Street & The Strand

    10:00 a.m. – 10:05 a.m.
      Trolley arrives, breaks ribbon
      VIP’s disembark to tent staging area in park

    10:05 a.m. – 10:25 a.m.  (Speakers)
      Designated speakers are as follows:

        Master of Ceremony – Fred Wichlep
        Mayor Roger Quiroga – Introduction of Congressman

    10:25 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
      Presentation of historic bricks and projects pamphlets to VIP's
      Balloon release
